Lady Midnight Guest Mix

If you're into old skool funk, disco, & rare grooves
like we are (actually kind of psycho about) then get your hot pants on
cuz this mix will melt your snowballs.
With awesome tracks from the likes of Sylvester, Jimmy Briscoe,
and much more - you won't resist swaying them heavy hips.

So Slutty.
Ebony Cuts, presented by DJ Cuebism & The Lovely Gloria
is one of the best places to get a serving of groovy tunes.

Villain Accelerate - Maid of Gold

Here's a little blast from the past (sort of).
We originally heard this back in '03,
the brainchild of Sixtoo & P-love.

Love the Tommy Guerrero-ish vibe with the strings
and guitar riffs here and here.

My Gold Mask - Fingerprints

If you haven't caught the sound of My Gold Mask
especially their new EP released this year,
then catch it fast because we love 'em.
It's like drinking a smoothie of The Cranberries with
some Bauhaus thrown in there, and maybe
a dash of Rainbow Arabia..  but better.
If that makes any sense.

We're loving the echoing drums with the sincere, and even
somewhat soulful voice of Gretta Rochelle (vocals & drums)
along with Jack Armondo on the nylon string electric guitar.

Thanks to our homie Anya V for hooking us up.

ERYKAH BADU - Gone Baby Don't Be Long

OK, we know she's been putting off this album for a couple years
now but it sounds like it's worth it.

After all the top-secret measures that have been
taken to keep all tracks from leaking on the web,
we finally get to hear some more of the
new album sound. And we like it.

We originally heard this song back in 2007
when we saw her at the Jazz Fest West festival in San Bernadino
and we've been hungry for the track ever since.
Obviously the live version was off the chain,
but the vibe of the studio album
is just as good. At least in our books.

Thanks to our people at New Tracks Daily for hooking
us up with this bootleg (sorry Erykah), but don't
worry, we'll be buying your album when it
releases this month, March 30th.
Let a bitch make some money!

KARIYA - Let Me Love You For Tonight (House Club Version)

A great House classic for all you who were at those
house parties in the LBC, or maybe up at 1015 Folsom in SF.
We aren't exactly sure why, but we've been into classic
House tracks these days and are diggin' in our archives.
